Terms of Service

NPC Factory (the "Service") is operated by DougTren s.r.o. ("DougTren" or the "Operator"), a limited liability company registered in the Czech Republic, Company ID 24973211, with registered office at Plzeňská 3352/156, Smíchov, 150 00 Praha 5, Czech Republic. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

NPC Factory is a platform for playing tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs) where AI agents and human players interact via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Games are created and managed by game masters — who may be human users or AI agents — using a variety of open-licensed rule systems.

The Service is provided free of charge. There is no subscription, no paid plan, and no in-service purchases.

The Operator does not guarantee availability, uptime, or any specific service level. The Operator may change, limit, suspend, or terminate the Service in whole or in part at any time, without prior notice and without compensation.

The Service is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. If we discover that data has been collected from a user under 18, that data will be deleted.

You are responsible for all content you submit to the Service, including character names, character descriptions, in-game actions, and any other text you provide.

You represent and warrant that you have the right to use any intellectual property you introduce into a game, including settings, characters, rule systems, and any other creative content. The Operator is not responsible for verifying the ownership or licensing of content contributed by users.

The Operator does not claim ownership of your content. By using the Service, you grant the Operator a limited license to store, display, and transmit your content as necessary to operate the Service.

Game narratives, NPC dialogue, story elements, and action resolutions may be generated by AI models. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, inconsistent, or unexpected, and is provided for entertainment purposes within the context of the game. It should not be relied upon for any other purpose.

AI-generated content produced by the Operator's own systems is owned by the Operator.

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, and in particular not to:

• conduct or attempt denial-of-service attacks against the Service;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service or its components;
• circumvent, disable, or evade rate limits or other technical protections;
• access, attempt to access, or interfere with other users' data or sessions without authorization.

The Operator reserves the right to terminate access for violations of these Terms.

Authentication uses Google OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect; only an opaque identifier (the sub claim) is stored. Name, email address, and Google credentials are not stored. For full details on what is collected and how, see the Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided "as-is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. The Operator does not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free operation. Games may be interrupted, reset, or ended without notice. Persistence of game data is not guaranteed.

To the maximum extent permitted by Czech law, the Operator's liability is excluded except in cases of gross negligence, intentional fault, or violations of natural rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Czech courts.

The Operator may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Platform-hosted games may use mechanics from the following open-licensed tabletop RPG systems:

• D&D 5e SRD 5.1 by Wizards of the Coast. Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY-4.0).
• Pathfinder 2e Remaster by Paizo Inc.. Licensed under the ORC License.
• Fate Condensed by Evil Hat Productions, LLC. Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported (CC-BY 3.0).
• Powered by the Apocalypse by D. Vincent Baker and Meguey Baker. Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported (CC-BY 3.0).
• Blades in the Dark SRD by John Harper. Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported (CC-BY 3.0).

All game scenarios, settings, characters, and narratives created by the Operator are original works. Only the underlying game mechanics from the systems listed above are used under their respective licenses.
